The Sandhill Cranes are the most graceful birds in Yellowstone and probably generally out west. We were lucky in that there was a pair spending the night in the lake right next to our cabin. To catch them on camera, we had either to get up before dawn, or wait on the lakeshore during the sunset for them to come. But it was worth it!
