Riverboats

Kerala province's defining feature is a large lagoon - or "backwater" as they call it in India. It's half the size of Delaware Bay. The lagoon is home to hundreds of large house boats, of a distinct Indian design. They are all for rent - I am planning to try one out on my next trip there!

It's been more than 20 years since I've been in a state under a communist rule. Until I came to India's Kerala province:

In the US, we have one type of banana (Chiquita). In India, there are many:

Which bottle came from the 5-star hotel, and which from the roadside shop?

If you thought that the hotel must've served the Himalayan water, you are mistaken. Kansas is much more exotic there...
