After going for many years without seeing a snapping turtle, I got to see 4 or 5 of them in 2020. This one was at the Meadowlands:
This guy or gal was in Sterling Forest State Park in New York. I first saw it walking on the forest floor, but it quickly went into a puddle when it saw me:
