These are Least Bitterns. They are pretty good at hiding! There are three fledglings in this picture - can you find them all?

This little beauty got many people excited last winter. This particular gull is a Black-headed Gull from Europe. (The head becomes black in the summer.) They show up infrequently at our shores. This one spent most of the winter at Point Pleasant, NJ.
